The new windowsupdate in Vista is not working for me I get error code 80240018 Can anyone tell me what this is and how to fix it?

Did you really mean "8024018"?
For this error code, there is a knowledge base article describing a problem with systems accessing the Internet through ISA Server. See:

I had the same problem. After a reboot it started working again.

No, I am using Direcway SAT internet and the SAT modem is doing some nat'ing
